Donald Trump experiencing ‘cabin fever’ after a month in White House

Donald Trump is reportedly experiencing “cabin fever” after his first month in the White House.

The President is apparently getting headaches and feeling frustrated that he cannot spend evenings dining at restaurants, according to Michael Allen, the co-founder and executive director of Axios Media.

Mr Trump’s wife Melania and his son Barron still live in Trump Tower in New York City and Mr Trump himself has spent several weekends at his Florida getaway of Mar-a-Lago. These trips have not stopped the President from experiencing “cabin fever”, a White House source told Mr Allen, according to Business Insider.

The news comes after a campaign rally in Florida on Saturday which Mr Trump used to launch another scathing attack on the media.

He said news outlets had become "part of the problem" and "part of the corrupt system" and said he would not allow the media to “lie to the people”. The comments received strong criticism and Bernie Sanders, the Vernmont Senator, suggested Mr Trump’s administration is displaying signs of “totalitarianism”.

“In Trump's view people should ignore all the news except what comes directly from him. That is what totalitarianism is all about,” Mr Sanders said
